Creative Ways to Record Your Child's Growth Through Photos
Everyone has that cupboard at their parent's house with the wiggly lines crossing over each other recording heights at different ages. Nowadays though there are more ways to record not just height but other changes too. I've done the hard work for you to find some beautiful gifts for any upcoming birthdays or baby showers (when we are finally allowed to mingle again #lockdown2020)...
The Blanket

This is my favourite idea. So much so that I'm currently designing one to gift to my newborn clients.
I love this minimalistic one from Not On The Highstreet. by Sparks & Daughters.
Also this one by Style My Kid which is very fitting for the current world's rainbow theme
The Cards

Very cute and can be used in so mnay different ways (although I'm sure that I'd end up losing the very one that I need.)
And for an alternative, instead of dates these have milestone events.
The Blocks

Similar to the cards but more playful for when they get to that mischeivous sitting stage.
I've only come across these in a couple of places which is nice
Here is the other set that I found.
The Babygrows

You can't go wrong with this idea... unless said baby decides to crawl off wearing the milestone (I'm certain that has happened many times). Cute though, no? Personally I'd try to design my own or just buy the same outfit in different sizes I think as I'm allergic to sparkles.
Items in the Home
My personal favourite. Just pick something (I love every day items or pets but sentimental ones would be so lovely too!) and photograph baby in/next to it. It doesn't get simpler than that.
If you want to add some frills to it why not do something like a sinkbath photoshoot once a month (see last week's blog)? Or do a 'fruit smash' (start with tiny baby just next to some fruit and then when they get a bit bigger and are on solids you can let them have more fun.)
