Repeating the same episodes and series of Paw Patrol and PJ Masks on Netflix, because I am too stingy to spend a few quid buying series 2, is driving me mad.
I thought my daughter would have gotten sick of it by now, but she innocently looks up at me and says, "it's really good daddy, it has a really good song!". Am I frying her brain by facilitating this?
The truth is that a bit of TV time in our household is essential to prevent it from falling completely in to decay. I like to think of it as balanced neglect; If I were to give them as much attention as they demand then the bins would be overflowing on to the kitchen worktop and we would all die of some terrible homegrown disease - conversely if I were to always use the television as a baby sitter, I would have a beautiful house but with no prospect of them ever leaving (they would be too stupid). So... theres the balancing act.
